Lisa Stewart
Founder and Executive Chairman
Lisa Stewart serves as Sheridan’s Executive Chairman, a position she has held since April 2020. From the founding of Sheridan in 2006, she served as Chairman, CEO and Chief Investment Officer overseeing all aspects of Sheridan acquisitions and the implementation of Sheridan’s strategy. Ms. Stewart has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in engineering and management positions. Prior to founding Sheridan, Ms. Stewart served as Executive Vice President of El Paso Corporation and President of El Paso E&P and other non-regulated businesses. Prior to her time at El Paso, Ms. Stewart spent 20 years at Apache, leaving in January 2004 as Executive Vice President with responsibility for reservoir engineering, business development, land, environmental, health and safety and corporate purchasing. Ms. Stewart holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa, where she is a Distinguished Alumni and member of the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences Hall of Fame. She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and serves on the Board of Directors of Coterra Energy, Inc., Western Midstream Partners and Jadestone Energy.

Mark Miertschin
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mark Miertschin was named President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2020. In this capacity he oversees all aspects of Sheridan’s operations and the implementation of Sheridan’s strategy. Mr. Miertschin brings over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in engineering and management positions. Prior to April 2020, he served as Sheridan’s Vice President of Business Development & Marketing and coordinated the acquisition of over $5 billion of producing assets. Before joining Sheridan in 2007, he was Business Development Manager for El Paso E&P. Previously, Mr. Miertschin served as Gulf of Mexico Planning Manager for Unocal, Acquisitions Manager for Nuevo Energy and South America Business Development Manager for Atlantic Richfield Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.

Aaron Skidmore
Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Skidmore joined Sheridan in January 2019 as Manager, Planning and Investor Relations and was named Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in August 2019. His areas of responsibility include investor relations, accounting, finance, IT and land administration. Mr. Skidmore has over 18 years of experience, most recently with Cobalt International Energy, where he served as Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations. Before joining Cobalt, he held roles of increasing responsibility with LyondellBasell Industries and Oasis Petroleum, after starting his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Frank Belveal
Vice President Corporate Development
Mr. Belveal was named Vice President Corporate Development in June 2021. He joined the Sheridan team in 2013 and has held various positions during his tenure including engineering and business development roles. Prior to joining Sheridan, Mr. Belveal was Group Lead – Technical Completions for Encana (Ovintiv), where he focused on conventional and unconventional HPHT operations and was integrally involved in the initial delineation and evaluation of the Haynesville Shale. Frank graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.

Matthew Heintz
Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary
Mr. Heintz joined Sheridan in 2007 and was named Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary in April 2020. During his tenure at Sheridan, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department in respect of oil and gas acquisitions and divestitures, finance, hedging, securities compliance, fundraising and other corporate and transactional matters. Prior to Sheridan, Mr. Heintz served as in-house counsel to the business development group of Apache Corporation from 2003. He began his legal career at Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP and later, Vinson and Elkins LLP. Mr. Heintz holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Richard Ghiselin III
Vice President - Operations
Richard Ghiselin was named Vice President of Operations in March 2020, and brings more than 30 years of engineering and management experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to March 2020, he was Sheridan’s Production Engineering Manager. Prior to joining Sheridan in 2014, he was Vice President of Drilling & Completions and VP of Operations for Plantation Petroleum and RPM Energy, respectively. His experience spans all phases of operations and he has worked multiple basins in the Lower 48, including drilling and completions roles in East Texas and North Louisiana with NFR Energy and El Paso E&P. Richard began his career in the Permian Basin with Dowell Schlumberger in 1992 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.

Pete Lawrence
Vice President - Exploitation
Pete Lawrence was named Vice President Exploitation in April 2022 and is responsible for the technical aspects of development and exploitation of Sheridan’s assets. He joined the Sheridan team in 2014 and has over 19 years of experience both within the US and internationally. Mr. Lawrence previously worked for Occidental, and ExxonMobil, where he held technical and management positions of increasing responsibility. His geographic expertise spans multiple basins within the US, the UK North Sea, and Oman. He holds an M.S. in Integrated Engineering from the University of Liverpool, and an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
